Interesting Insight (Don't be shy, Leave a comment)

A true friend is happy for you when you are happy.  They comfort you when you are sad and heartbroken.  A true friend does not build walls of judgment and criticism.  Having fake ideals of nostalgia, family and wholesomeness.  While their true nature lies in the sin of vanity and materialistic pride.

Living in the past is a great way to live in pain.  I try to look to the future as often as I can.  Seeing happiness in tomorrow.  I feel sorry for the people who wake today feeling other people's pain from yesterday.  Not only do they build a darkness in their soul but they casually reopen wounds (with the best of intentions).  Always just trying to help - never seeing how much it hurts.

Live for today.  Live in the NOW.  Enjoy each moment.  Live for YOURSELF!!!!!!

True, and may I add that learning from the past is not always dwelling on it, Forward movement without the lantern of past errors can leave one with stubbed toes! :)

You are a very deep and wise woman - I can't believe we met where we did (in BF you know where!) and lived so close, and we were there for a year before I even met you! Yes, lets live in the moment - there really is nothing else when it comes down to it - because what we do NOW creates all the futures and in circle fashion - the pasts as well.

Be well - wish we had more "moments" to hang out together!

Well said. I have found those that I thought were true friends let me down when I most needed them. Relationships are complicated because people are complicated. We each have our own ideas, values and hopes. I try to live by the golden rule of treat others as you would want to be treated. Love unconditionally and it will come back to you. You, Renda, are beautiful because you are you! Unique in your own right and I am so proud of you! Love you! Mom

I was just thinking the other day, that "misery" is taking a serious dive and knowing you're the one to blame for it. But true happiness is discovering who truly cares for you through it.

Love: Is a Human Condition
by: Nikki Giovanni

An amoeba is lucky it's so small ... else its narcissism would lead to war... since self-love seems so frequently to lead to self-righteousness...
I suppose a case could be made... that there are more amoebas than people... that they comprise the physical majority... and therfore the moral right... But luckily amoebas rarely make television appeals to higher Gods... and baser instincts... so one must ask if the ability to reproduce oneself efficiently has anything to do with love...
The night loves the stars as they play about eh Darkness... the day loves the light caressing the sun... We love... those who do... because we live in a world requiring light and Darkness... partnership and solitude... sameness and difference... the familiar and the unknown... We love because it's the only true adventure...
I'm glad I'm not an amoeba... there must be more to all our lives than ourselves... and our ability to do more of the same...

I agree, its impossible to be happy if you're always re-digesting the past. And for the moments that are not only un-enjoyable but barely tolerable, being able to say "f*@# today!" and wait for tomorrow is a useful skill. :)

But without the past, we are unable to learn from experiences. We do not have to redigest it, but to learn from experiences may take the occasional revisiting.

True friends are happy for you, don't judge you, stand by your side when you make mistakes, help pick you up without an "I told you say", love who you love, relish in your joy, feel your misery, cry your tears, smile with you, trust you, and love you.

There are few things in life as beautiful as our friendship. They have helped me through the darkest of moments, have shared my greatest joys, have fullfilled me in so many ways. I am blessed to have a friend like you. It's been over 17 years, I wouldn't change it for the world!

I am so happy that you have found someone wonderful. I only hope that people can see you as I do, as he does. That all your friends embrace and share in your happiness, move on from the past, and feel blessed to have you both in their lives.

Love you!

I read your blog and it is cool. This one reminded me of my dragon friend's wisdom. Saphira says "Live in the present, remember the past, and fear not the future, for it doesn't exist and never shall. There is only now." I ♥ dragons.

    Fond Memories

I always enjoyed making people uncomfortable with my art.  This has resulted in two of my pieces being set on fire and burnt to a crisp by the people that were the most affected by the artwork.
