Bob Gautreau along with the cast and crew of 1692 are raising funds for his new musical, 1692: The Trials of Ann Putnam (The Witchcraft Trials: IN CONCERT!). We’ll be presenting it September 17, 18, 19, and 20, 2026 at 6pm at the shell at Salem Willows, 165 Fort Ave., Salem, Massachusetts.
Bob created this musical after working as a Salem tour guide for 10 years. After seeing the influence of Hamilton on the public and discovering the works of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, he realized that history is more easily remembered when it is in verse. This project brings those inspirations together in a new way through music and the story of Ann Putnam.
The show will be pay-what-you-may, with a suggested donation of $20, because we want people to be able to come experience it. To make these performances possible, we need support for the practical costs of putting the show on, including scripts, costumes, props, and programs.
Donations are needed by September 5, 2026 so we can have what we need in place before opening night. If this project speaks to you, please donate what you can and come see the show. Every contribution will help bring this musical to life, and sharing this fundraiser would also mean a lot.
